- Replaces separate acts for professions like nurses, pharmacists, doctors, optometrists and others with one common regulatory law
- Establishes colleges as corporations run by councils, including public appointees living in Saskatchewan
- Sets common rules for registering and licensing health professionals and handling complaints against them
- Creates a professional conduct committee and discipline committee to investigate and hear misconduct or incompetence complaints
- Allows suspension, fines, conditions or licence cancellation for registrants found guilty of professional misconduct
- Permits councils to waive registration requirements during a declared public health emergency
- Allows amalgamation of multiple colleges into a single college and regulates health professional corporations
