2024 election promises What they promise, what they'll do with it.

The governing party's commitments in the October 28, 2024 election, each with its source. No verdict is issued here: each promise is quoted as written, next to what the Assembly has done about it.

By topic
This page follows the promises of the Saskatchewan Party, which won the election and governs with a majority of seats: it has the power to deliver them. Only one source is accepted: its official documents, quoted word for word.

Toutes les promesses

Each promise is quoted word for word, with its source.

Where these promises come from

  • From the party itself. Every quote comes from the 2024 platform published on the Saskatchewan Party's website, reproduced word for word. A script checks that each quote appears exactly as written in the source; if not, it is removed. The “See the source” link on each card leads to the original.
  • These are not all the promises. We use the 12 commitments the party highlighted when it released its platform, as published, without ranking it by importance. The full platform contains more.
  • Why only the government. The majority party introduces most bills and can get them passed: its promises are the ones that can be checked against what actually happens. The opposition doesn't have that power.
  • An absence says nothing. A commitment missing from this list may still be in the full platform.
  • Nothing is taken from the news media. A commitment announced at a press conference but never published by the party does not appear here.

In short: an absence from this list says nothing about what a party thinks. For the full list, follow the link to the source.

What's next?

Each promise sits next to the bills that carry it out, with the sentence from the official explanatory notes that shows it. When no bill deals with it, the card says so. The Assembly returns on October 27, 2026 for the third session: every new bill will be checked the same way.
