Bill 24 — The Saskatchewan Internal Trade Promotion Act

Requires Saskatchewan to recognize goods and services already approved in other Canadian provinces, territories or under federal rules, removing duplicate approval requirements.
- Goods and services certified elsewhere in Canada must generally be treated as meeting Saskatchewan standards without extra fees or approvals
- Workers certified in another province or territory are entitled to receive equivalent Saskatchewan certification if in good standing
- Regulatory authorities must make their rules consistent with trade agreements and the mutual recognition principle
- The minister can issue compliance orders forcing a regulatory authority to fix inconsistent rules within 60 days
- Cabinet can make, amend or repeal regulations, or even override other Acts, to enforce trade consistency
- Individuals who break the Act face fines up to $35,000, corporations up to $75,000
- Courts cannot review the minister's compliance decisions and private lawsuits under this Act are prohibited
