Updates several Saskatchewan laws to replace the terms "libel" and "slander" with "defamation" to match the new Defamation Act.

  • Changes wording in the Jury Act, 1998 to use 'defamation' instead of 'libel, slander'
  • Changes wording in the Legislative Assembly Act, 2007 to use 'defamation' instead of 'libel'
  • Changes wording in the Small Claims Act, 2016 to use 'defamation' instead of 'libel, slander'
  • Takes effect on the same day the new Defamation Act's first section comes into force
