Amends The Workers' Compensation Act, 2013 to update definitions, coverage rules, and appeal decision publication requirements.
- Expands definitions of chiropractor, physician, psychiatrist and health care professional to include those practising outside Saskatchewan and recognized by their jurisdiction's licensing body
- Creates a new category of 'out-of-province worker' covering workers residing in Canada, employed by a covered employer, and approved by the board
- Allows a board member to finish hearing a case after their term ends, but not start new matters
- Requires the board to publish appeal decisions along with reasons in a manner set by regulations
- Removes the exclusion for forest fire scenes from a provision in section 28
- Extends compensation rules to workers injured outside Saskatchewan if they are Saskatchewan residents, out-of-province workers, or usually work both inside and outside the province
- Extends a provision about correctional facilities to include correctional facilities located in other jurisdictions
