Amends Saskatchewan's corporate capital tax rules to change tax rates for financial institutions, Crown corporations and other corporations, mostly effective April 1, 2026.

  • Increases the capital tax rate for most financial institutions from 4.0% to 6.0% starting April 1, 2026
  • Reduces small financial institutions' tax rate from 0.7% to 0.0% starting April 1, 2026
  • Cuts designated Crown corporations' tax rate in stages, reaching 0.0% by April 1, 2027
  • Ends the telecommunications Crown corporation's capital tax for fiscal years starting on or after April 1, 2027
  • Keeps the general corporate capital tax rate at 0.0%, continuing existing policy
  • Updates deduction formulas for capital used outside Saskatchewan to match new tax rates
  • Applies retroactively as if in force from April 1, 2026, despite coming into force on assent
