Allows the government to charge application fees for permits under The Heritage Property Act.

  • Lets the minister require an application form and a fee, if any, set by regulation
  • Gives the government power to make regulations prescribing permit application fees
  • Allows those fee regulations to apply retroactively to a date no earlier than April 1, 2026
  • Makes the whole Act itself retroactive to April 1, 2026, once it receives assent
