Bill 57 — The Information Services Corporation Amendment Act, 2026

Assented to on 2026-05-14 · Sponsor: Jeremy Harrison

Amends the Information Services Corporation Act to update restrictions on transferring ISC's assets and intellectual property, revise the golden share rules, and reduce government-appointed board members.

  • Adds protection against transferring ISC intellectual property outside Saskatchewan if it is needed for existing 2023 service agreements
  • Adds protection against transferring assets or functions that would delay ISC meeting its 2023 agreement commitments
  • Repeals several existing clauses and Part III of the Act, removing certain provisions
  • Allows the golden share to be acquired by the Crown Investments Corporation under a business arrangement plan, keeping the same rights and terms
  • Reduces the number of board members the Lieutenant Governor in Council may appoint annually to 2 persons
  • Lets current government-appointed board members beyond the new 2-person limit keep their seats until the next annual general meeting
  • Changes regulation-making powers regarding notice of director appointments
