Requires the health minister to publicly announce any hospital emergency room closure within one hour of its approval.

  • Minister must publish emergency room closure information via website or other electronic means
  • Public notice must be made within one hour of the provincial health authority approving a closure
  • Ministry must use existing resources to publicize this information
  • Costs of publicizing closures cannot be paid from the General Revenue Fund
  • The amendment takes effect on the date the bill receives assent
