Amends The Saskatchewan Farm Security Act to make enforcement against illegal foreign farmland ownership mandatory and sharply increase penalties.

  • Requires the Minister, instead of the board, to act on illegal foreign farmland ownership cases
  • Raises one penalty amount from $1,000 to $1,000,000
  • Raises another penalty from $50,000 to $1,000,000
  • Increases a further penalty range from up to $500,000 to up to $10,000,000
  • Raises a separate penalty from $10,000 to up to $10,000,000
  • Removes certain existing exceptions or limits by repealing subsections 93(4) and 93.1(3)
  • Allows courts to order that net proceeds from a forced land sale be forfeited to the Crown
