Amends the Members' Conflict of Interest Act to define apparent conflicts of interest and require fuller disclosure of members' private business holdings.

  • Adds a new definition of apparent conflict of interest based on reasonable public perception
  • Applies when a reasonably well-informed person could think a member's private interest affected their official duties
  • Requires members to disclose detailed descriptions of businesses held by private or holding companies they control
  • Extends this disclosure duty to businesses controlled by the member's family members
  • Requires listing both the operating name and legal name of such businesses
  • Takes effect immediately upon receiving Assent
