Amends The Lobbyists Act to require more detailed disclosure of lobbying activities and to ban public office holders from accepting gifts from lobbyists.
- Defines 'communicate' broadly to include emails, phone calls, and in-person or remote meetings
- Defines 'gift' to match The Members' Conflict of Interest Act definition
- Removes an exemption for non-profits with fewer than 5 employees from certain provisions
- Removes the exemption for lobbying activity under 30 hours annually from registration requirements
- Requires disclosure of all political financial contributions by organizations employing in-house or consultant lobbyists since the last election writ
- Requires lobbyists to file monthly activity logs detailing who they lobbied, on what topics, and how they communicated
- Bans public office holders from accepting gifts from lobbyists, except MLAs following conflict of interest rules
